Apostille Service
What is an apostille?
An apostille confirms the authenticity of the signature and official seal appearing on an eligible public document. For RCMP certified Criminal Record Checks, the apostille is issued by Global Affairs Canada. Forensics Canada Inc. provides professional assistance with document review, application preparation, submission coordination, secure handling and return delivery
Important: Our service does not shorten Global Affairs Canada’s processing time. It helps reduce preventable errors and makes the submission process easier for clients in Canada and abroad.

Apostille Service – Document
Is Your Document Eligible?
Not all documents follow the same apostille process. Municipal or provincial police checks, name-based CPIC checks, and photocopies may require notarization or additional preparation before they can be apostilled.
Send us a clear scanned copy of your document, and we will review it before you proceed.
What Is the Current Processing Time?
Approximately 25 Business Days
Global Affairs Canada processing times may change depending on application volume, document requirements, and mailing conditions.
Expedited government processing is generally not available.
We can review your documents, prepare the submission, and manage the apostille process; however, government processing times are outside our control, and a specific completion date cannot be guaranteed.
Please refer to Global Affairs Canada’s Website for current processing times

Apostille vs. Authentication & Legalization
If the destination country is part of the Apostille Convention:
Your RCMP Criminal Record Check may be accepted with an apostille.
If the destination country is not part of the Apostille Convention:
Additional legalization by the embassy, high commission, or consulate of the destination country may be required after authentication. Global Affairs Canada also says that destination-country requirements are determined by the foreign authority, not by Canadian law.
